Making Post Workout Bath Bombs at Home
INGREDIENTS (Makes 3 Large or 6 Small Bath Bombs)
1/2 Cup (approx. 25g) of Green Tea Leaves
1/4 Cup of Ground Ginger or Dried Ginger Pieces
1 Cup (230g) of Baking Soda
1/2 Cup (115g) of Epsom Salts
1/2 Cup (115g) Citric Acid
1/2 Cup (65g) of Cornstarch
3-4 Tablespoons of Coconut Oil (Melted)
1 Teaspoon of Water
10 Drops of Essential Oil - Optional (Camomile OR Rosemary would be great for these bath bombs)
METHOD
In a large mixing bowl combine the ground ginger, baking soda, Epsom salts, citric cid and cornstarch.
In a small bowl or cup, mix together the coconut oil, water, and optional essential oils.
Mix together the wet and dry ingredients until it resembles a damp sand texture.
Lastly add the loose leaf green tea and combine.
Put the bath bomb mixture into each side of the mold (overfilling it) and squeezing it tightly so that the mixture is well compacted.
Leave the bath bombs in the molds for at least 4 hours or overnight to dry and set hard.
Gently tap the molds before releasing the bath bombs. This bit can be a little tricky and can take some practice.
