Making Black Forest Tea Lattes at Home
INGREDIENTS (Serves 2)
2 Black Tea Bags (or 2-4 Heaped Teaspoons of Loose Leaf Tea)
1/2 Cup of Dark Cherries (Fresh or Frozen)
2 Tablespoons of Sugar/Honey/Agave - Optional
2 Cups (16fl oz) of Milk (Regular or Plant Based)
1/2 Cup of Extra Dark Chocolate
4 Tablespoons of Cream (Regular or Plant)
Whipped Cream to Serve (Regular or Plant)
Grated Chocolate or Cacao Powder to Sprinkle - Optional
2 Shots of Kirsh/Cherry Liqueur - Optional
METHOD
Firstly, warm your milk and add your tea. Allow to steep for 5-10 minutes before removing the tea leaves/tea bags.
Add your pitted dark cherries, optional sweetener, chocolate and cream. Place back on a low heat and keep stirring for around 5 minutes until the cherries are soft.
Combine with a blender and pour into cups or mugs.
Add kirsh if using, top with whipped cream and dust with chocolate.
