Making Green Tea Infused Wine at Home
INGREDIENTS
8 Heaped teaspoons of loose leaf green tea (any green tea blend that you like)
1 Bottle (750ml) of white wine
Simple syrup - optional - see here for the recipe
Soda water or lemonade - optional
METHOD
Infuse the tea leaves directly in the bottle of wine, the easiest way to do this is to use a small funnel so that the leaves don’t go everywhere.
Place the cork back in or use a bottle stop and then place in the fridge over night or for a minimum of 8 hours.
When you are ready to drink the wine, strain out the leaves using a mesh strainer and rebottle.
Add ice, simple syrup to sweeten and/or soda or lemonade to serve.
