Making Pimm’s With Black Tea
INGREDIENTS (Serves 8)
8 Heaped teaspoons of afternoon tea - or any black tea of choice
300ml PIMM'S No.1
1/2-1 Cup of sweetener of choice (sugar, honey, agave, maple syrup)
1 Sliced orange plus extra for garnish
10 Halved strawberries plus extra for garnish
1/2 Sliced cucumber plus extra for garnish
1 Handful of mint plus extra to garnish
Lots of ice to serve
METHOD
Steep the tea in 4 cups of freshly boiled water and allow to steep for 3-5 minutes before removing the tea/straining out the leaves.
Add sweetener of choice and dissolve into your hot tea. Set side to cool.
Add the mint, crushing the leaves slightly to release the flavor and aroma.
Add the orange slices, strawberries and cucumber.
Top up the mix with the Pimm's and the ice.
Serve the tea cocktail over large glasses of ice with sprigs of fresh mint and slices of fruit to garnish.
