Making Pimm’s With Black Tea

 INGREDIENTS (Serves 8)

  • 8 Heaped teaspoons of afternoon tea - or any black tea of choice

  • 300ml PIMM'S No.1

  • 1/2-1 Cup of sweetener of choice (sugar, honey, agave, maple syrup)

  • 1 Sliced orange plus extra for garnish

  • 10 Halved strawberries plus extra for garnish

  • 1/2 Sliced cucumber plus extra for garnish

  • 1 Handful of mint plus extra to garnish

  • Lots of ice to serve

METHOD

  • Steep the tea in 4 cups of freshly boiled water and allow to steep for 3-5 minutes before removing the tea/straining out the leaves.

  • Add sweetener of choice and dissolve into your hot tea. Set side to cool.

  • Add the mint, crushing the leaves slightly to release the flavor and aroma. 

  • Add the orange slices, strawberries and cucumber.

  • Top up the mix with the Pimm's and the ice.

  • Serve the tea cocktail over large glasses of ice with sprigs of fresh mint and slices of fruit to garnish.
