Making Bulletproof Yerba Mate Lattes at Home
Making this bulletproof yerba mate latte from scratch is super easy to do. Simply steep the yerba mate before removing the leaves or tea bag. After this, add all of your ingredients into a blender and whizz up until frothy and latte-like with lots of bubbles. Pour into your favourite cup or mug and enjoy.
INGREDIENTS (Serves 1)
1 Heaped Teaspoon of Loose Yerba Mate or 1 Tea Bag
1/2 Cup of Freshly Boiled Water
1 Cup of Warm Milk (regular or dairy free)
1-2 Scoops of Collagen Peptides (or vegan alternative)
1 Tablespoon of Coconut Oil or MCT Oil
1 Teaspoon of Honey, Agave, Maple Syrup - to taste
METHOD
Firstly, brew the yerba mate by steeping the leaves in 1/2 a cup (4oz) of freshly boiled water for 3-5 minutes. Remove the leaves or the tea bag.
In a blender add the brewed yerba mate, collagen powder, coconut oil, sweetener of choice, and your warmed milk.
Blend until all of the ingredients are well combined and have a bubbly-latte-like texture.
