How to Make Green Tea With Fresh Ginger and Meyer Lemon

INGREDIENTS (Serves 4)

  • 4 Heaped teaspoons of green tea

  • 4 Inch piece of fresh ginger

  • 4 Cups (32fl oz) of water

  • 1 Meyer lemon (or 1 regular lemon/1 regular orange)

  • 2-4 Tablespoons of honey - optional

METHOD

  • Peel and slice the ginger and slice the lemon or citrus of your choice.

  • In a saucepan, add the ginger and lemon and bring to a boil, reduce the heat and let simmer for 3-5 minutes.

  • Next, take the saucepan off the heat and add the green tea and allow to steep for 3-5 minutes.

  • Drain your steeped tea through a mesh strainer

  • Add optional honey and enjoy hot or over ice for sweet and spicy iced tea.
