Chocolate Hot Tea Toddy Recipe: The Chai Mudslide

Making Grown Up Hot Chocolate at Home
INGREDIENTS (Serves 2)
2 Heaped teaspoons of masala chai (or 2 tea bags)
2 Cups of milk (regular or non dairy)
2 Tablespoons of Dutch cocoa powder
1/4 Cup (4 tablespoons) of dark chocolate - chopped or chips
2 Scoops of ice cream (chocolate or vanilla works well for this recipe)
2 Shots (100ml) of Baileys Irish Cream/Baileys Almande
2 Tablespoons of honey/maple syrup/agave - to taste
Whipped cream and grated chocolate to serve- optional
METHOD
Pour the milk into a saucepan bring to a gentle simmer, add the cocoa, chocolate chips and optional honey and keep stirring until the chocolate has completely melted, and all of the ingredients are combined.
Remove from the heat and add the masala chai. Let steep for 5 minutes before straining out the leaves.
Next, mix in the the Baileys Irish cream and pour into 2 cups or 2 heat proof glasses.
Add a scoop of ice cream and top with whipped cream and grated chocolate.
Enjoy with a spoon, straw or simply sip away :)
