Making a Tummy Soothing Infusion at Home

Almost too easy to prepare, simply add the ingredients to a teapot, pour over freshly boiled water and allow to steep for ten minutes. Enjoy with or without honey/maple syrup/agave or sugar. Seriously, it’s that simple and it’s seriously good!

Adjust the amounts for smaller or larger servings. You can also make a large batch and store in the fridge. I would recommend enjoying this tummy soothing tisane with 24-48 hours for optimum freshness.

INGREDIENTS (Serves 4)

  • Large Handful of Mint

  • 2 Inch Piece of Fresh Ginger Root

  • 1/4 of a Fresh Lemon

  • Optional Honey - To Taste

METHOD

  • Slice the ginger root into thin pieces (tip: if you prefer a less-gingery and more subtle taste, slice the ginger into chunkier pieces).

  • Crush the peppermint leaves to release all those aromatic oils, and slice the lemon.

  • Pop all of the ingredients into a large tea pot and pour over freshly boiled water. Ensure to place the lid on the teapot to lock in that herbal goodness.

  • If you do not have a teapot, you can use a jug and cover with a cloth or plate while the tisane is infusing.

  • Allow to steep for 10 minutes, pour into cups and enjoy after meal times.
