What are the Benefits of Drinking a Lassi?
There are many benefits of drinking a lassi. A lassi is designed to help soothe digestion and provide beneficial probiotics from the yogurt used. Different herbs and spices will have different benefits. Here, in this lassi recipe I’m using turmeric and masala chai flavours. Turmeric is known for it’s anti inflammatory benefits. The main antioxidant in turmeric is curcumin. Curcumin is absorbed more easily into the body by taking with black pepper. Masala chai contains lots of healthy compounds and also contains black pepper and therefore can help the body absorb the antioxidant goodness from the curcumin. This helps fight free radicals which in turn can help keep us younger and healthier.
